Bud has rejoined Guild, Yule and Company LLP where he started his career in 1957, having served as a Supreme Court of British Columbia Justice and a Justice of the British Columbia Court of Appeal until his retirement in 2004. Bud is associate counsel and provides guidance and advice to our lawyers on matters to do with trial and appellate advocacy, preparation of factums, expert evidence, and trial and appeal preparation. Prior to his appointment to the Supreme Court of British Columbia in 1988, Bud was senior trial counsel at Bull, Housser and Tupper practising in the area of corporate commercial and insurance litigation. He also taught insurance law at the University of British Columbia Faculty of Law, and in 1979 and 1980 was a senior law faculty lecturer at Victoria University in New Zealand teaching contracts, company law, commercial law and legal process.
