Biography
Elif joined Guild Yule in 2018, as a corporate legal assistant, before obtaining her Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada in January 2021 and commencing her Articles with the Firm in June 2021.
Elif practises in the area of corporate and commercial law focusing on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and commercial lending transactions. Prior to joining Guild Yule, Elif practiced as a lawyer for over five years at two top tier law firms in Turkey, specializing in the area of corporate and securities law with a particular emphasis on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate reorganizations and regulatory compliance. She represented private equity firms and multinational companies in connection with their investments in Turkey and abroad, across a wide variety of sectors including retail, energy, financial services, life sciences and technology.
She is a graduate of Koc University Law School and holds an LL.M. degree in Commercial and Corporate Law from Queen Mary University of London.
