Biography
Joannie is an Associate Lawyer developing a broad civil litigation practice. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria. Prior to law school, Joannie obtained a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Contemporary Asian Studies from the University of Toronto.
During law school, Joannie was a Research Assistant for two law professors and completed a co-op term at the Department of Justice in Vancouver. She was also actively involved in her law school community as an editor for the University of Victoria’s law review journal, member of the Harold G. Fox moot team, Pro Bono Students Canada volunteer and co-president of the University of Victoria Pan-Asian Law Society.
Joannie worked as a WorkSafeBC Review Officer prior to articling. Before joining Guild Yule LLP, Joannie completed her articles at a national law firm and clerked for five justices at the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
