Joannie has a broad civil litigation practice, with an emphasis on insurance defence. She has experience in construction claims, class actions, medical malpractice, contractual disputes, human rights complaints, and professional liability actions.
Joannie was called to the bar in 2022. Before joining Guild Yule LLP, Joannie completed her articles at a national law firm and clerked for five justices at the Supreme Court of British Columbia. She is currently a board director of Courthouse Libraries BC.
Joannie grew up in the Lower Mainland and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria. Outside of work, Joannie enjoys exploring the coastline and Vancouver’s diverse food scene.
