Biography
Madeline previously summered at Guild Yule and is pleased to have returned as an Articling Student. They previously completed a summer co-op position with the federal government.
They received their Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria in 2025 and previously completed their Bachelor of Arts (Honours) – Political Studies degree at Trinity Western University. Before law school, Madeline worked in the HIV, hepatitis C, and harm reduction non-profit sector.
During law school, Madeline served as Events Coordinator of OUTLaws and is proud to share OUTLaws received the UVic Law Student Society Award for most creative event that year for its seminal Queer Law Student/Lawyer Social. Madeline subsequently served as Co-President of OUTLaws and continues to act as a mentor and support to the UVic Chapter. Madeline also spearheaded the now annual World AIDS Day event at UVic Law.
Madeline served as a volunteer with Pro-Bono Students Canada in the Trans ID Clinic in first year; completed a term with the Environmental Law Clinic; sat on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Taskforce and was a member of the Harm Reduction and Drug Decriminalization (HARD) Law club (and associated student-led class.) Madeline served as the UVic Representative for CBA British Columbia’s Sexuality and Gender Diversity Alliance Section (SAGDA) for two years and continues to serve as a Member-at-Large. Madeline currently sits on the Governance Committee of the Victoria Sexual Assault Centre. Madeline is most proud of having been a Law Buddy to a first-year law student.
Outside of work, Madeline is an avid boxer, powerlifter, and film buff.
