Nida maintains a general litigation practice, including the defense of health authorities, municipalities, professionals, educational institutions, and businesses. Her practice includes personal injury, professional liability, medical malpractice, occupier’s liability, professional regulation, and advising on employment and human rights matters. Nida has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia, including as trial counsel in the British Columbia Supreme Court. She also holds a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/C) designation through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and advises on privacy matters.
Nida completed her articles and her first few years of practice in Toronto where she appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court, and various administrative tribunals, and assisted in appeals before the Ontario Court of Appeal.
Outside of her practice, Nida is an active volunteer in the community and offers pro bono services for refugee sponsorship and support organizations. She is also a member of the disciplinary committee of the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
When she is not busy working, Nida loves to go hiking and kayaking, and relaxing on her yoga mat.
