About Us

For a century, Guild Yule LLP has maintained its reputation as a firm that offers the highest quality of professional services. The values and standards set by prior generations of Guild Yule lawyers remain integral to the firm’s culture. Today, Guild Yule is comprised of a dynamic group of lawyers who practice law in a spirit of collegiality and openness, are proud of their past, and are committed to continuing to earn the trust of their clients and the respect of their peers. Guild Yule remains a place where clients turn for principled yet practical legal advice as well as unparallelled advocacy before courts, commissions and tribunals.

Guild Yule has strong connections to the broader legal community. Since the 1950’s lawyers from the firm have taught insurance law in the Faculty of Law (now Allard Law) at the University of British Columbia. We fund scholarships and prizes at UBC, UVic, and TRU, including awards in advocacy, ethics, and moot court. The firm continues to be active in the education of other lawyers through the Law Society’s Continuing Legal Education program, the Inns of Court, and the Law Society Practice Checklists Manual. We have a proud history of lawyers who have been recognized for professional excellence and civic involvement, most notably the number of lawyers from our firm who have been appointed judges at all levels of court including to the Supreme Court of Canada (Hon. Charles H. Locke, K.C.) and as the Chief Justice of British Columbia (Hon. Lance Finch, Q.C.).
