Marie (Mimi) Willcock

Mimi is a civil litigator. Mimi’s practice is focused on providing advice and defending claims on behalf of health authorities, school districts and other educational institutions, public institutions, and professionals. Mimi has represented clients at all levels of court in British Columbia and before administrative tribunals, including the BC Human Rights Tribunal, the BC Review Board and Coroner’s Inquests.

Before her call to the BC bar in 2013, Mimi completed her law degree at the University of Toronto and her LLM (Jurisprudence and Legal Theory) at University College London. Prior to attending law school, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Social and Political Sciences) from Cambridge University.

 

Aaron Gubeli

Aaron is a civil litigator whose practice spans complex personal injury and property damage claims, professional negligence, product liability, municipal liability, subrogation, insurance coverage disputes, and assisting health and financial professionals in discipline and regulatory proceedings.

Aaron has represented clients at all levels of court in British Columbia and before several administrative tribunals and regulatory bodies, including the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC, the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC, the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization, and the Insurance Council of British Columbia.

Aaron was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2019 after completing his articles at Guild Yule LLP and became a partner of the firm in 2025.  In addition to his litigation practice, Aaron serves as an Adjunct Professor teaching Insurance Law at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia.
