Sonya received her Juris Doctor at the University of Calgary in 2024. Prior to law school, she earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia with a major in Sociology. After her degree at UBC, Sonya worked as a Claims Examiner for the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia where she was responsible for facilitating claim files throughout all stages of litigation.
Sonya’s areas of practice include medical malpractice, personal injury, employment, and human rights matters. She regularly represents clients at mediations, chambers applications and other legal proceedings, and has experience in workplace-related investigations. She is a passionate legal advocate, dedicated to finding practical and innovative solutions. Outside of law, Sonya enjoys hiking, travelling, and trying new brunch spots.
