Biography
Casper has a general and broad civil litigation practice. He has experience in insurance defence, commercial litigation, personal injury claims, and corporate, partnership and joint venture disputes.
Casper has appeared as counsel in arbitrations, trials, appeals and other contested court hearings. Casper has made submissions before all levels of Court in British Columbia and various tribunals. He also knows how to successfully resolve disputes out of court, including at mediation.
Prior to joining Guild Yule, Casper articled and practised at a boutique litigation firm in downtown Vancouver.
Before his call to the Bar, Casper participated in various voluntary and pro bono initiatives, including advising on matters relating to human rights violations and breaches of international criminal law, representing school children at disciplinary hearings, organizing debates and public speaking workshops for prisoners, and managing a free legal advice clinic at law school.
Casper moved to Vancouver from London, England, with his partner in 2018. Outside of the office, Casper enjoys watching and playing soccer, cycling, and exploring the North Shore with his rescue dog.
