Biography

Shannon joined Guild Yule LLP in 2023 as a summer articled student and returned in 2024 to complete her articles before being called to the bar.

She obtained her Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University (TRU) in 2024. Prior to law school, Shannon earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of British Columbia in 2017. She then spent six years as a federal public servant, working in areas including income assistance, assisted living, compliance, and child and family services. In recognition of her contributions, she was awarded the Deputy Minister’s Recognition Award and the Circle of Excellence Award.

During law school, Shannon continued to work part-time as a Senior Regional Program Officer with the federal government. She was also actively involved in her community, volunteering as a clinician with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program and serving as Director of Finance for the TRU Access to Justice Club. In this role, she helped organize a residential tenancy legal workshop to assist university students in understanding their rights and responsibilities as renters.

Shannon’s academic achievements in law school include receiving the Dean’s Course Prizes in Administrative Law, Community Lawyering, and Unjust Enrichment. She was also named to the Faculty of Law’s Dean’s List for the 2023–2024 academic year.

Outside of the office, Shannon enjoys oil painting, hiking, and travelling. In her spare time, she can also often be found playing pitch-and-putt with her family or testing out new air fryer recipes.
