McAllister v Calgary (City); a heightened duty of care in the age of surveillance?

An Alberta Court of Appeal decision handed down this year arguably extends the duty of care owed by Municipalities and analogous entities with responsibility over public gathering spaces, with respect to the intentional torts committed by third parties against others. This case note  analyzes the appeal Judgment and considers its potential wider ramifications.
